BELFAST 鈥?Dr. Margaret A. Renton Malmberg ,72, a resident of Belfast, passed away on April 7, in Portland under the loving and compassionate care of Waldo General County Hospital in Belfast and the Maine Medical Center, Portland. She was born February 14, 1944 to Robert and Eleanor Curtis Renton in Cleveland, OH.Dr. Malmberg attended Muskingum University in New Concord, OH and Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX. She was trained as an polene bag experimental psychologist and worked, for over 30 years, as a higher education administrator, educator and consultant. She was an active member of the Belfast Rotary, the Education Chair for the Board of Directors of the Camden Conference in Camden and was committed to a multitude of social justice causes. Dr. Malmberg was also the Treasurer of St. Margarets Episcopal Church in Belfast as well as an active member of its choir.Dr. Malmberg enjoyed reading, gardening, walking, long bike rides, caring for and riding horses and spe polene bag nding countless hours working on volunteer initiatives for the ultimate betterment of all.Margaret is preceded in death by her two loving husbands, Dr. Donald Hastings and Dr. Steven R. Malmberg, as well as her parents, Robert and Eleanor Renton and her br brumate other, Stephen Renton and sisters, Donna and Kathleen Renton. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Claudia Lee of Paw Paw, MI; her niece, Jennifer Mike Nash of Houston, TX and her nephew, Patrick Lee of Paw Paw, MI. She is also survived by her two foster son |
